You look capable on the outside, but your mind doesn’t slow down.

You’re used to figuring things out on your own. This is one area where that hasn’t worked the way you expected. You replay conversations, feel responsible for others’ emotions, and worry about disappointing them. You try to do the right thing, work hard, and care deeply about the people around you. But inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed, and stuck in patterns of overthinking and self-doubt. You’re the one others rely on, and you struggle to set boundaries without guilt. These patterns are often connected to earlier experiences, trauma, or life transitions that shaped how you learned to move through the world. If you’ve been feeling stuck in the same patterns despite trying to think your way out of them, therapy can help you approach things differently. Our work isn’t about just managing symptoms, it’s about understanding and shifting the patterns underneath them. Considering therapy? I offer therapy for teens and adults both in person in Tacoma and through telehealth across Washington. I work with both insurance and private pay clients. Some people choose to work outside of insurance for greater flexibility, privacy, and consistency in care. You’ve probably tried to think your way out of this, but it hasn’t worked the way you hoped. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation where we can talk about what you're experiencing and whether working together might feel like a good fit. My Approach: My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and engaged. I don’t just sit back and listen. I ask questions, share insights, and work actively with you to understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Humor and authenticity are welcome in our work together. Therapy can involve deep conversations, but it can also include moments of lightness and curiosity as we explore the patterns shaping your experiences. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound. My work is grounded in curiosity, empathy, and respect for each client’s unique experiences. I draw from approaches that help clients understand both the deeper roots of their patterns and practical ways to respond differently in the present. I welcome clients of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, cultures, and family structures. Common Questions Clients Often Ask Before Starting Therapy: What is therapy with you like? Therapy with me is a conversation where we explore what’s happening and develop new ways to respond to it. Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on? You don't need to. Many people begin therapy with a general sense that something feels off, e.g. anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck. Part of our work together is clarifying what’s going on and identifying what would feel most helpful. How do I know if therapy with you is a good fit? The relationship between therapist and client matters. That’s why I offer a brief consultation so we can talk about what you’re looking for and see whether working together feels like a good fit. How long do people usually stay in therapy? This varies widely depending on your goals. Some clients come for shorter periods during a difficult life transition, while others stay longer to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change.
